CNB’s Lakeport, Longview 4th Street and Downtown Convenience Center pooled their “jean” money ($2 collected each Friday for wearing jeans to work) and and donated 80 Christmas gifts to the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission. They found out through the local newspaper that the mission was short on gifts for the teenagers. So the branches went in together and donated over $430 worth of gifts. What a great way to give back and serve our community!
Making a Joyful Noise
The week of December 17th, carolers from Wylie Elementary and First Baptist Church, bo
th of Henderson, came to sing at the main bank in downtown Henderson. Seeing all the little smiling faces singing with joyful hearts was such a pleasure to experience during this wonderful Christmas season. After each group finished, they were presented with a tray of Christmas sugar cookies for their class, courtesy of Citizens National Bank!
Spring Hill Branch Plays Santa
The ladies of CNB’s Spring Hill branch used their their “jean” money that is collected each Friday, plus a little more, to help a local needy family with Christmas. The family was very surprised, as they didn’t expect or ask for any help. The family had quite a few children, so each employee “adopted” one of the children and bought Christmas for them. The employees were also able to give the family a $135.00 gift card. Branch Manager, Kim Graham said, “I am so proud of the teamwork here at Spring Hill, they made this family so happy.” We at CNB couldn’t agree more!
Chandler Employee Coordinates “Operation Christmas Child” for Branch
Cortney Ruble, a part time teller at the CNB Chandler branch, (as well as a full time student) has headed up the contributions to Operation Christmas Child. This year, the Chandler branch doubled its efforts from last year by donating 12 boxes. Operation Christmas Child gives shoe boxes filled with gifts to needy children around the world and helps in leading them to Jesus Christ. The program is operated by Samaritan’s Purse, a non-denominational, evangelical Christian outreach program. If you would like more information on how you can donate, visit www.samaritanspurse.org. Thank you Cortney for your hard work in coordinating this!
