The week of December 17th, carolers from Wylie Elementary and First Baptist Church, both of Henderson, came to sing at the main bank in downtown Henderson. Seeing all the little smiling faces singing with joyful hearts was such a pleasure to experience during this wonderful Christmas season. After each group finished, they were presented with a tray of Christmas sugar cookies for their class, courtesy of Citizens National Bank!
The ladies of CNB’s Spring Hill branch used their their “jean” money that is collected each Friday, plus a little more, to help a local needy family with Christmas. The family was very surprised, as they didn’t expect or ask for any help. The family had quite a few children, so each employee “adopted” one of the children and bought Christmas for them. The employees were also able to give the family a $135.00 gift card. Branch Manager, Kim Graham said, “I am so proud of the teamwork here at Spring Hill, they made this family so happy.” We at CNB couldn’t agree more!
Cortney Ruble, a part time teller at the CNB Chandler branch, (as well as a full time student) has headed up the contributions to Operation Christmas Child. This year, the Chandler branch doubled its efforts from last year by donating 12 boxes. Operation Christmas Child gives shoe boxes filled with gifts to needy children around the world and helps in leading them to Jesus Christ. The program is operated by Samaritan’s Purse, a non-denominational, evangelical Christian outreach program. If you would like more information on how you can donate, visit www.samaritanspurse.org. Thank you Cortney for your hard work in coordinating this!
Tyler Grande Branch Manager Sheila Dixon and Vice President/Lender Sandra Browning co-chaired the event “Bras for the Cause” that took place recently in Tyler at Hollytree Country Club. Sheriff J. B. Smith served as auctioneer and some local fireman modeled the “bras for the cause”. The event raised over $32,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society and Women’s Council of Realtors. Sheila Dixon said, “It was a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun and we raised a great amount of money for such a worthy cause.” CNB is very proud of these ladies and all the employees who volunteered and attended this event!

Dan Owen, branch manager said, “Just wanted to let you guys see what the AWESOME team at College Park did this week (today) for the big televised game tonight. It’s Blue Out in Corsicana today and I want to commend/recognize my group at College Park for an outstanding job they did. Still think I have one of the best teams in the bank.” GO TIGERS!!!
President & CEO, Brad Tidwell, along with other CNB employees, presented a check for $2,000 to Henderson Interchurch Ministry, a non-profit organization that helps the less fortunate with things such as utility bills, and groceries from their food pantry. Thanks to all the employees who donated $2 each Friday to wear jeans and make this well deserved donation possible!
