Tyler_Brook Hill School Treasure ChestAn “Invention Convention” was held at The Brook Hill School recently in Bullard.  Third grade students had the opportunity to share with parents and teachers about the inventor that they researched and the invention that they created by looking for problems to solve in their own homes.  CNB’s Beth Parsons and Claire McNabb were on hand to hand out treasure chests to students that were made by the Grande branch teller staff.  Branch Manager Sheila Dixon said it is a very worthwhile event that Citizens was invited back to this year and she thanked Susan Boles, Nereyda Valle and Andres Diaz for their hard work on the chests.   (photo courtesy of tylerpaper.com)

Lakeport Branch Donates to Mission

CNB’s Lakeport, Longview 4th Street and Downtown Convenience Center pooled their “jean” money ($2 collected each Friday for wearing jeans to work) and and donated 80 Christmas gifts to the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission.  They found out through the local newspaper that the mission was short on gifts for the teenagers. So the branches went in together  and donated over $430 worth of gifts.  What a great way to give back and serve our community!

Making a Joyful Noise

The week of December 17th, carolers from Wylie Elementary and First Baptist Church, both of Henderson, came to sing at the main bank in downtown Henderson.  Seeing all the little smiling faces singing with joyful hearts was such a pleasure to experience during this wonderful Christmas season.  After each group finished, they were presented with a tray of Christmas sugar cookies for their class, courtesy of Citizens National Bank!

Spring Hill Branch Plays Santa

The ladies of CNB’s Spring Hill branch used their their “jean” money that is collected each Friday, plus a little more, to help a local needy family with Christmas.  The family was very surprised, as they didn’t expect or ask for any help.  The family had quite a few children, so each employee “adopted” one of the children and bought Christmas for them.  The employees were also able to give the family a $135.00 gift card.  Branch Manager, Kim Graham said, “I am so proud of the teamwork here at Spring Hill, they made this family so happy.”  We at CNB couldn’t agree more!

Chandler Employee Coordinates “Operation Christmas Child” for Branch

Tyler’s Bras for the Cause Benefit a Success!

Tyler Grande Branch Manager Sheila Dixon and Vice President/Lender Sandra Browning co-chaired the event “Bras for the Cause” that took place recently in Tyler at Hollytree Country Club.  Sheriff J. B. Smith served as auctioneer and some local fireman modeled the “bras for the cause”.  The event raised over $32,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society and Women’s Council of Realtors.  Sheila Dixon said, “It was a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun and we raised a great amount of money for such a worthy cause.”   CNB is very proud of these ladies and all the employees who volunteered and attended this event!
