Citizens National Bank has opened their newest branch today in downtown Longview at 200 N. Fredonia (corner of Tyler and Fredonia Streets) in one of Longview’s most enduring landmarks. Brad Tidwell, President and CEO stated, “It has been great watching the revitalization of this historic building knowing that Citizens National Bank will be the foundation. We are more than excited to be a part of downtown Longview, once again giving life to this building by putting a bank back into the lobby and serving the needs of not only downtown, but all of Longview. We welcome the community to stop by and see the transformation of this wonderful piece of Longview’s history.” The new downtown location will serve as CNB Longview’s main office and also include a trust office.
Cliff Hale, Senior Vice President and Longview Region Manager said, “Citizens National Bank continues to support the Longview and Gregg County market by investing in the downtown area and serving the needs of all of Longview with six full service branches. Our commitment to Longview and East Texas has never been stronger.” Tidwell added, “This revitalization project was truly a team effort between Citizens National Bank, the building landlord Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company, RLM General Contractors, Fitzpatrick Architects, Beer Wells Real Estate Services and The Swearingen Design Group.”
A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Longview Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Thursday, July 25th at 11 a.m., along with a tour of the bank. The public is invited to attend.
